Jon - Good to see the book has materialised! I can't wait to read it - the synopsis sounds like my career at school, minus the surfing! Did "Spoz" Parsons crack a mention? Such a good name for a book, perhaps he'll have to wait for the sequel.
When does the media circus begin and when can I expect some champagne and caviar (or cherries and flat homebrew)? Enjoyed your website and yarns. If you're really serious about recycled tissues we've got binfuls up here - I'm sure you'd find some good ones if you pick through them.
Chalk me up for a pre-sale! Kip

Hi Jon -

It was Winter. Winter is the cruellest month. Especially the last one.

The flowers are perfumingly fabulous and the birds chirpingly cheerful - it's Spring!

Ah, Jon, don't get me started. I'm sure JC wanted a hierarchical church, run by men, with men's rules, with control a big feature. I'm sure JC also said at one stage "If ever it comes down to a fund-raiser for a few million dollars to tart up the cathedral or a fund-raiser to save some starving Africans from AIDS, go the fund-raiser for the cathedral makeover, my shepherds!"

The church is like any other big business: down in the trenches are lots of little people who genuinely set out to do good, try to be nice to their neighbour and generally to be good Christians.

But the arseholes get promoted. And therin lies the problem.

And Pell is factually wrong: both France and Ireland (which I think are Western nations) are reproducing at levels consistant with maintaining steady populations.

Both are predominantly Catholic.

He could have checked by making a few phone calls.

Silly person.
